Use DeepL for: Professional-grade English ↔ Turkish translation of documents and prose where natural phrasing matters more than per-word accuracy.
Use TurkicLex when: Anything involving Kazakh, Uzbek, Uyghur, or any Turkic language other than Turkish — DeepL simply does not support those. Also when you need word-level definitions rather than sentence MT.
Turkic language coverage
DeepL added Turkish in 2022. As of April 2026, Azerbaijani and Kazakh are available via the DeepL API, but coverage for the broader Turkic family remains narrow compared to Google Translate — Kyrgyz, Uzbek, Turkmen, Tatar, Uyghur, and Bashkir are not supported on either the consumer app or the API.
